Lil Wayne....Ready To Retire Soon!!!!!!!!!!

After twelve albums (eight solo, three with the Hot Boys and one with Birdman) Lil Wayne is starting to think about hanging up the mic.

In a new interview with XXL the 28-year old hinted that his career might fade to black after his ninth solo album, 'Tha Carter IV' drops in August.

Of course we've seen this before act before. Jay-Z famously retired in 2003 only to return to the game three years later.

The big difference between the two is the fact that Jay doesn't have any kids while Wayne has four. With such a hectic schedule recording and touring, Weezy doesn't get to spend the time with his family that he would like to.

I’m bowing out still on top,” Wayne told XXL. “I’ma make y’all want me when I retire. I’ma make y’all be like, ‘Nooo!’ I ain’t leaving out this b*tch when y’all be like, ‘Yeah, it’s about time, dawg.’ Carter IV might be my last one. I’ma make y’all be like, ‘F*ck!’ Yeah, n*gga, I’m gone. I honestly think it’s unfair to my kids. I’m super dedicated into what I do. Like, it’s no questions—it’s hands down, I do this. I live this. I don’t have a day out my week that I do something else. I do this every day of my life, and I’m not about to stop, ’cause that’s the only way you can succeed in this business, is to do it the way I do it. I want to succeed the way I want to succeed. You can succeed. You can put out a hit… But to do it the way I want to do it, to be comfortable to do what the f*** I want to do, you’ve got to work like no other. Like I said, it’s unfair to my kids. So about 30, 31, 32, I gotta get ready."

The Young Money CEO doesn't think he'll be hurting for cash. He plans on kicking his feet up and caking off a of potent roster of artists, Drake and Nicki Minaj in particular.

I expect to eat, and eat well," he said "I expect [Drake] to be a lot more successful than he has ever been. I mean, this guy’s a superstar. He is the definition. That’s what I told y’all before he was: ‘That’s the definition of a superstar.’ And like Nicki, he’s only breaking ice. He has yet to be who he’s going to be. I’m banking on them.”

To read the full interview pick up the July/August 2011 issue when it hits newsstands July 12.

Do you think Wayne is serious about walking away from the rap game forever?

2Pac- Dead, but not Forgotten-Happy 40!!

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) andMakaveli, was an American rapper. Shakur had sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2007, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. In the United States alone he has sold 37.5 million records. Rolling Stone Magazine named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.
In addition to his career as a rap artist, he was also an actor. The themes of most of Tupac's songs are the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, other social problems, and conflicts with other rappers during the East Coast – West Coast hip hop rivalry. Shakur began his career as a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died 6 days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.

Message from T.I.

What up world? Been a minute. I’d like to thank you all for the thousands of letters, cards, books, pictures and words of encouragement. I’m truly grateful. I’m sure you already know I’m nearing the end of this chapter of my life, and looking forward to taking all of the things I’ve learned with me while leaving all the rest of the “BS” behind. I’ve been tuned in somewhat to what’s been happening out there. I can’t even begin to tell y’all how much being on the outside looking in, having to witness all that’s going on (and not going on) in the game affects me. Not being able to do what I love especially. It’s like a whole other sentence within itself. But I really do appreciate all the love, respect, shout outs and salutations during this very difficult period in my life. Everybody from da homies Weezy, Killa Mike, R. Rozay my lil bruh B.o.B, Terrence J (106 & Park) and my “durty” Nelly. Regardless of whether the gestures were the greatest or the smallest, they still meant the world to me. REAL TALK. The separation from my art has definitely sparked an inferno of inspiration that will soon be felt by all. As a matter of fact, to show my appreciation to those that have been in support of me and granted the requests of TEAM T.I. I’ll be releasing a record in the near future (couple of weeks tops) to hold y’all over til I get back in action. During this time of seclusion I have developed a mind full of thoughts, ideas, plans and strategies of change to incorporate into my professional endeavors, as well as my personal lifestyle. But none of them is as strong as my determination to conquer my own imperfections and my will to WIN NO MATTER WHAT!!!

I love, respect and appreciate all those who have stood beside me and I have accepted those you didn’t. But one things for sure and two for certain. As long as the Most High blesses me with the ability to live and breathe….My campaign will continue!!! Stronger, smarter, bigger and better than ever. For those that doubt that…See me when they free me.

Five Steez-Finding himself through hip hop@Media Connec!!!

                                                                           Five Steez

His vocals ignite the passion to listen, his lyrics dissects issues with simplicity and his message flies beyond the scope of his 24 year-old slim built frame. Peter Wright whose stage name is Five Steez is Jamaica’s ace hip hop artiste who is intent on raising the bar of musical excellence with creativity and diversity.
When most persons living outside of Jamaica think of the island, they think reggae, dancehall but certainly not hip hop. However, Five Steez has awoken sleeping ears to the kind of music that can in fact come out of Jamaica and he does not plan changing the genre even if others thinks otherwise.
MediaConnec took a Five with ‘Five’ Steez  to unveil the man behind the music and the message.

HOW HAS MUSIC HELPED TO SHAPE YOUR CHARACTER?
“Music has been not only a source of entertainment for me but also education and inspiration. I learnt a lot just from listening to music with a message, hearing certain references and researching them later. Rappers like Rakim, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and many others had Afrocentric ideas in their lyrics and that helped to further educate me on my people’s history and plight, in which I already had a strong interest. I must say, I have found myself through music. Self-expression is one of the most profound ways to know one’s self and my music has been very important to me in that regard. Also, my dedication to music has taught me the value of hard work, focus, discipline, persistence and patience. Hip Hop is quite competitive too and even moreso, if you are a battle rapper, as I considered myself when I was much younger. This energy taught me to strive to the best in everything I do.”

EXPLAIN WHY YOU CHOSE RAP/HIP-HOP AS THE GENRE THAT YOUR VOICE IS HEARD?
“Hip Hop appealed to me like no other musical genre. I have an appreciation for most genres, especially Roots Reggae and what people may call Neo-Soul, but with Hip Hop, the sound varied so much. It wasn’t a box. Musically, it could borrow from jazz, funk, soul, rock and roll, Reggae or Dancehall and still maintain its identity once it has that ‘boom bap’ drum pattern. And then on top of that was the level of lyricism I heard in Hip Hop. I always had an interest in writing so when I heard rappers like Rakim, Inspektah Deck, Big Pun and so many more tell the craziest stories and drop the most knowledge while being so witty and complex with the rhyme schemes, it was like heaven to my ears. The lyricism in Hip Hop makes it stand out from ALL musical genres to me. It’s a high art form and that was what lured me into Hip Hop.”
DESCRIBE SOME OF THE ISSUES YOU DISCUSS IN YOUR MUSIC AND HOW IMPORTANT IS IT FOR YOU AS A 24 YEAR-OLD TO ADDRESS SUCH ISSUES THROUGH YOUR MUSIC?
“My music deals with reality on a whole and I’m usually relating my own experiences or that of my family and peers or what I see taking place locally or even globally. I tend to address a lot of socio-political issues and there’s always a spiritual aspect as well. I understand the many ills in our society. After all, many of them affect the youth… my peers and I included. From the poor education system to unemployment to police brutality, it is us that suffer the most. I would personally like to see a change in the world come from this generation. The music for me is a mission and I feel if I’m going to be saying something, I should have a message. If not, I’m wasting my breath. So I hope to motivate and inspire the youth to change.”
USE FIVE ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE WHO YOU ARE?

“Honest, Focused, Determined, Intense, Profound”
HOW HAVE PERSONS IN AND OUTSIDE JAMAICA RESPONDED TO YOUR MUSIC?
“Generally, the response is great. Locally, what I’m doing is well-received by the people. They see me in the streets or reach out to me online and show love. I stand out because I rap and on top of that, people love the lyricism and my music connects with them on deep emotional and spiritual levels. Good music is good music and it cannot be denied. Unfortunately, the local radio jocks don’t see it this way and seem to have no interest in playing any local Hip Hop. On the flipside, I get a really overwhelming response outside of Jamaica. I have yet to tour and take the music abroad but with the internet, the world has become so connected. I have numerous DJs, from New York to Toronto to the UK, playing my music. With Hip Hop nowadays, fans get their music from various blogs as soon as it is released and some of these blogs are already supporting me. I’ve found that Jamaicans make up only a fraction of my fan base and support base. My real goal is to fully tap into markets that support Hip Hop, not necessarily just the US, and the response I’m getting so far is very encouraging. I’m very excited about the possibilities.”

Denyque- Sexy,Talented, Young and Destined for Greatness!!!!!!!!!!

- Denyque Dontré -

Young, Beautiful & Talented with an effervescent personality, Denyque Dontré lives by the quote: "Nulli Secunda" [Latin for "Second to None"],
firmly believing that aiming for the top & never settling for less is the only way to achieve one's dreams. Being exposed to music at a very early age, Denyque grew into her talent and fell in love with the art; deciding that one day she would be ‘inside’ the TV and the radio.

At 20 years old, this singer/songwriter has reached a level of musical maturity that is far beyond her years; & with a distinctive and innate talent that promises to be one of Jamaica's finest, Denyque is determined to take her place in music history.

After winning several medals in Jamaica National Festival Competitions at 11 & 12 years of age,
Denyque went on to be a straight "A" student whilst attending the prestigious Belair High School in Mandeville, Jamaica. After graduating with honors in 2006, financial restrictions kept her from accepting a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston the following year, but Denyque still couldn't resist her calling to music and decided to keep following her passion.

Under the tutelage of Phillip "Junior Arrows" Linton, Arrows Management steered her to her first hit single "Can't Breathe" in early 2009. She followed up with another hit single "Pieces", produced by veteran producer Don Corleon, and then continued honing her skills with producers Neil "Cashflow" Mitchell, Conroy Forte from Washroom Productions, and another industry veteran, producer Jeremy Harding, releasing her latest single, "Super Girl".

After her stint with Arrows management had ended, Denyque Dontre's efforts would not go unnoticed
and one meeting with Jade Lee, CEO of Jade Promotions sealed a new management deal in the fall of 2009.

"An incredible vibe & great chemistry! I can safely say for the first time I feel completely secure as an individual and as an artiste," Denyque admitted.

Denyque LOVES languages & is a philosophy junkie. She speaks fluent French & dabbles in some Spanish here and there. Along her musical journey, she plans to perfect her language skills along with a host of other things.

I Octane gets DJ Amber Pregnant?

IRIE FM DJ and media personality DJ Amber has admitted that she is pregnant with deejay I Octane’s second child.
Rumours have been swirling in Kingston over the last few weeks regarding Amber’s pregnancy, which is now entering the fourth month. She spoke to one876entertainment in an exclusive interview about her relationship with the deejay.
“We had a long term friendship which turned into a short term relationship which is now over. I ended the relationship in March, I got pregnant in February of this year, it was sudden for both of us,” she said.
Amber explained that when she informed Octane she was pregnant in March, because even though it was an unplanned pregnancy, they had been having unprotected sex for several months. In fact, she said, he had asked her many times to have a child for him. “Soon after, Octane called me to say that if I continued with the pregnancy, I would be on my own, so I decided to go ahead on my own, I would not terminate my pregnancy. Anyway, three days later, he called to apologise and that he was sorry about what he said, and that he would share in the child’s life and accept responsibility,” she told one876entertainment.com
However, later that month, she discovered that I Octane was involved in a personal relationship with another well-known media personality.
“And not only that..he also lived with his child’s mother who he claimed he wasn’t having a relationship with. We had been friends for several years, and for the six years we have been friends, he had always pursued me, but at the time, I was involved in a three-year relationship so I wasn’t interested. Then last year, I was released from that relationship and I became intimate with him. He told me he was single and I believed him,” she said.
However, when she realized that she had fallen in love with him and that she wanted to have a serious long term relationship with him, she decided to do her own investigations.
“I had my suspicions, so I spoke to his babymother, the one that he lives with, and I told her I was pregnant. I also spoke to the other media personality and told her I was pregnant as well,” she said.
She said that she was surprised that I Octane had been romantically involved with so many other women.
“He said he was a rastaman yet he was involved in illicit relationships with so many women, I felt betrayed and hurt that he was not what he professed to be. When I confronted him, he told me that I didn’t have to play his music anymore “because him buss already”, so I have taken his advice, and I am not playing his songs professional life,” she said. anymore, I have withdrawn from his
DJ Amber said that she was the first person to begin playing him on national radio.
“I believed in him but he is a fraud, I was his friend for many years before we got intimate, and I am now pregnant. But it doesn’t matter, I am having my baby,” she said.
She also wants to lay to rest any rumours that I Octane wanted her to have an abortion.
“He never told me to have an abortion,” she said. “I just don’t want to be involved in that sort of lifestyle where he is having unprotected sex with several women. I tried to get him to use condoms but he always refused, people need to understand that I don’t need him to support this child…I ended the relationship because I don’t want to be with someone who is sleeping around and telling me so many lies…I don’t want to live like that.”
