- Denyque Dontré -
Young, Beautiful & Talented with an effervescent personality, Denyque Dontré lives by the quote: "Nulli Secunda" [Latin for "Second to None"],
firmly believing that aiming for the top & never settling for less is the only way to achieve one's dreams. Being exposed to music at a very early age, Denyque grew into her talent and fell in love with the art; deciding that one day she would be ‘inside’ the TV and the radio.
At 20 years old, this singer/songwriter has reached a level of musical maturity that is far beyond her years; & with a distinctive and innate talent that promises to be one of Jamaica's finest, Denyque is determined to take her place in music history.
After winning several medals in Jamaica National Festival Competitions at 11 & 12 years of age,
Denyque went on to be a straight "A" student whilst attending the prestigious Belair High School in Mandeville, Jamaica. After graduating with honors in 2006, financial restrictions kept her from accepting a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston the following year, but Denyque still couldn't resist her calling to music and decided to keep following her passion.
Under the tutelage of Phillip "Junior Arrows" Linton, Arrows Management steered her to her first hit single "Can't Breathe" in early 2009. She followed up with another hit single "Pieces", produced by veteran producer Don Corleon, and then continued honing her skills with producers Neil "Cashflow" Mitchell, Conroy Forte from Washroom Productions, and another industry veteran, producer Jeremy Harding, releasing her latest single, "Super Girl".
After her stint with Arrows management had ended, Denyque Dontre's efforts would not go unnoticed
and one meeting with Jade Lee, CEO of Jade Promotions sealed a new management deal in the fall of 2009.
"An incredible vibe & great chemistry! I can safely say for the first time I feel completely secure as an individual and as an artiste," Denyque admitted.
Denyque LOVES languages & is a philosophy junkie. She speaks fluent French & dabbles in some Spanish here and there. Along her musical journey, she plans to perfect her language skills along with a host of other things.
